Career Technical Education Linkage

Career Technical Education (CTE) Linkage at ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯ All Rights Reserved (ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯) works
with local high schools to provide high school CTE students with a smooth transition
into the higher-ed programs of their choice.
The overarching goal of CTE Linkage is to "link" high school career and technical
programs with related programs at ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯. Students in aligned programs may be able to
receive college credit for some of their high school coursework upon entering ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯
under the terms of a state or independent articulation agreement.

Massachusetts State Articulation Agreements
There are 14 state articulation agreements between Massachusetts Community Colleges
and Chapter 74 CTE high school programs. Visit the to learn more about this collaborative work.
Students who have successfully completed one of the following state approved Chapter 74 CTE high school programs

Independent Articulation Agreements
CTE Linkage at ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯ works with other high school CTE programs to develop independent
articulation agreements at the local level between ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯ and an individual high school.
Students who have successfully completed one of the following local high school CTE
programs may be also eligible for college credit after enrolling in a program of study
at ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯:

How do I know if I am eligible for articulation agreement credit?
Basic Eligibility Requirements
- In general, students need to have earned a minimum of a B in the high school course/program
(80-83, depending on the agreement) and a minimum of a C overall high school GPA (70-73,
depending on the agreement).
- Some agreements require a certification (CISCO or Microsoft, for example) as noted
above.
- A current articulation agreement must be on file or adopted at the state level. Local
articulation agreements must be renewed annually.
- Students must enroll and matriculate into a program of study at ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯ within 1-2 years
of high school graduation (depending on the agreement).
